Busy Busy

What a weekend! Saturday was chalk full of stuff going on. I took my last final for school. I am officially finished with college! 10 years in the making and it's about damn time. I won't know my grades for a few weeks, but I'm hoping I was able to pull my 3.44 cumulative GPA to a 3.5 so I can graduate with honors. It really blows that they go off of a cumulative GPA and not overall for Cal State only classes. If that were the case I would be graduating with high honors with a 3.9. I've only gotten one B since I stated Cal State.

After my test I went over to the thrift store to hunt for some books. I have so much free time now I can start reading novels again! I absolutely refuse to pay full price for a book (anything for that matter) and the thrift stores typically have a decent selection. I only found one good one worth buying - Water for Elephants. I paid .50 for a brand new, never read copy. I'm excited to get my leisurely reading started. It's pouring outside so today would have been perfect to stay home, cozy up under some blankets and hang out with Mandy (our dog) and do some serious reading. Alas, I am at work...enjoying the rain from my office. At least I am surrounded by windows and not the dull drabby particle walls of a cubicle.

After my thrift store adventure I went to the mall to meet up with Gary's mom for some lunch. I must say that the Nordstrom's Cafe has some wonderfully delicious options. I get the Blue Cheese and Pear Salad every time. We had a beautiful lunch and did some Christmas shopping (always better when you have the employee discount on your side)

After lunch, I went to Hullabaloo’s Partyhouse in Orange for our friend's (Kristal) son's 2 year birthday party. Gary met me over there because I wasn't going to drive all the way home first. What a neat idea! It's basically a warehouse set up with a huge clubhouse themed playground, giant inflatables, pop star karaoke stage, toddler area, games, tree house, and climbing walls etc. It went from 3-6pm and by the end of the day I was feeling exhausted! I was very ready to head home and relax. It felt like a very long day. A very long, productive and fun day though :)

Sunday Gary and I got up early and went to meet up with Debbie before work. We went to Nordstrom's and I bought my diaper bag. It's called a Petunia Pickle Bottom. Funny name huh? It's really cute and I love the color. We got the stroller clips so it attaches easily to the stroller, and it can be carried as a backpack. That will be a plus! I hate having things hang off of may arms. Hopefully this will make it easier getting places. We went back to her place and it is decorated so cute for Christmas. I LOVE all of her decorations. It feels so comfy and cozy in there. The boys had moved some of our furniture around on Saturday when I was in school. They took our couch that was in the living room and moved it over to Debbie's, then took the couch that was in our second bedroom and put it in our living room. We had to open up our other bedroom so we can start getting it ready for the baby. The couches look great at her place. I think they look better over there than they did in ours. Her place is so perfect for Christmas so that's where we are all going to get together Christmas Day. She has a tree and it really feels like the holidays there!

After we left Debbie's we did some MORE Christmas shopping and ran some other errands. I was SO glad to be at home at the end of the day. Gary made me an amazing roast dinner with potatoes and carrots. I'm really looking forward to my leftovers for lunch today :)

I talked to my dad and brother (miss them SO much) and they seem to be doing good. I'm excited for them to get the fun package I sent them for the holidays - they should be getting it sometime this week. All in all, great weekend but very busy and very on the go.

Later today is my second Dr's appt. I'm excited for Gary to be going with me this time and he gets to see what all the fun is about ;)
