This week has been a rough one for me. I have been feeling VERY LARGE and not 'pretty' at all. Total weight gain so far is 30lbs. I have a feeling I will be in the 45-50 range when all said and done :( I also have no idea why I have fat dimples on my arms? My legs and butt are getting really thick and look like curdled cottage cheese. So, naturally, I went to McDonald's this morning and got a sausage egg mcmuffin and hashbrown. I figured since I am already on the fat train why not go for it? Now I am feeling super guilty about it though. Ugh, really? Why did I eat that? Gross.
My doctor told me I was gaining too much weight and that it was going to be very hard for me to lose postpartum. On top of being emotional, moody, crabby and extremely tired that was seriously the last thing I wanted to hear. She may have been just trying to help, but I really didn't appreciate the way she had put it. I find it funny how doctors only want you to gain 25 pounds while pregnant, want you to exercise and eat healthy, then when the baby is born shoot them full of toxins with 'generalized' vaccinations? That is the biggest oxymoron I have ever heard. If/when we have another baby I certainly will not be using her as a doctor. G went with me and we were both asking a lot of questions, none of which she seemed willing to answer. We both have questions regarding circumcision, vaccinations/immunizations and placenta encapsulation. After the baby is born we are most certainly using his insurance. I actually just found a new Dr. right up the street and made an appt to go meet with him for a new family dr and pediatrician. I went home early yesterday because I just was NOT feeling like being at work - I just wanted to go home, cuddle with Mandy and watch Lifetime...and that is exactly what I did!
Today is going a bit better. I got my prints back from the Maternity Pics I took last week, and if I do so say myself they turned out AMAZING. I love them!! (Thanks to Facebook for the positive comments - haha I guess social media CAN make you feel better about yourself!)
